The Connecting with Exmoor Ponies & Yourself Experiences - dates now available for 2025

This is a wonderful opportunity for small groups of people to connect with and tune into the Exmoor pony herd, observing  their characters and behaviours and energy at close quarters. Come and discover more about this very special, ancient native breed in this unique setting.

After an introductory chat and a short book reading from Dawn Westcott's book, Rowan The Exmoor Pony, we'll move to an area in the barn where you can be amongst the herd (yet safely separated). You'll meet some of the real-life characters from Dawn's books, Wild Pony Whispering, Wild Stallion Whispering and Wild Herd Whispering, including ponies from free-living moorland herds.

Observing the Exmoor pony herd is fascinating, as they reveal their beautiful characters and are able to connect with your authentic self. This is a unique opportunity to allow the ponies to bring you into the present moment and a place of mindfulness, forgetting about life's distractions and stresses. Through the connection with their positive herd energy, finding a place of inner peace, stillness and wellbeing - and nourishing it.

We'll practice a short meditation as a group to help 'zone in' to their energy. You can then chat and ask questions or simply 'be', connecting with the ponies. Each session is different, with different ponies drawn to different people. Some participants find it profoundly moving and generally, everyone leaves feeling more self-aware and enriched by the experience.

Afterwards, there is time for a chat and teas/coffees/biscuits and you're welcome to share any notes and thoughts - or not. Whatever feels right for you.

Dawn Westcott's books will be available to purchase and can be personally signed, and bags of our wonderful very well-matured, multi-purpose Exmoor Compost (produced by the Exmoor pony herd), are also for sale. Proceeds from the workshop experiences and sales help to support the Exmoor Pony Project.

The Connecting with Exmoor Ponies & Yourself Experiences are kept to small groups of minimum six and maximum eight participants to enable everyone to have a very special experience.

Testimonial!
"Thank you, Dawn and Nick, for the amazing experience and privilege. Saturday was a breathtaking afternoon. The herd is remarkable! Each and everyone of the ponies are beautiful, full of character and your dedication to them is beguiling! It was a pleasure to be allowed to share the experience of being with you both and the ponies. I would recommend anyone who has not done so yet to come and visit you. We will most certainly coma back again.”
